New York - Long Island Live Steamers
Long Island, NY - Long Island Live Steamers was founded in 1966 to preserve the fine art of precision steam model making. While our outdoor tracks, and the trains that run on them, may represent our most visible activity, our members also build scale model steam boilers, engines, boats, and tractors, as well as fully functional railroad models. Very few of our members are professional machinists, most are hobbyists, some have small basement shops, while others have no shops or projects. The uniting interest lies in steam power, railroads, and having fun.
The club site is located in Southaven (Suffolk) County Park, which is near William Floyd Parkway and Sunrise Highway. The county has made available about 8.5 acres of land on which our railroad operates. We have a recently expanded elevated railroad for 3/4" and 1" scale trains with more than 1250' track and a 4600' Groundline right of way for 1 1/2" scale trains. In fulfillment of the public trust use of park land, Long Island Live Steamers hosts visitor rides on our Public Run Days scheduled for the second and last Sundays of each month from the middle of May through the end of October.

Ohio - B&B Railroad Depot Bed & Breakfast
Oregon, OH - This wonderful combination is the result of fulfilled dreams met by Nate and Linda Brinkman. In 2001, after 30 years of marriage Nate Brinkman purchased a 1/8 scale Boston and Maine live steam engine. Soon after he convinced Linda to allow him to lay some 7 1/2" gauge track to be able to run his train at Home. Before she knew it, he had surrounded their little 1100 square foot home with 2300 feet of railroad track. Being a welder by trade, he began to build passenger cars and a transfer table to allow other people to run their engines on his track.
Linda Brinkman quickly realized that this life long dream would only compliment her dream of owning a Bed and Breakfast.

Medina, OH - The Northeastern Ohio Live Steamers is actively recruiting new members.
Our club is over 30 years old and consists of members from 10 years old to well, lets just say old enough. We vacated our mature site in Copley, Ohio in 1998. Now, working with the Medina County Park Board we are in the early stages of development of a nine-acre site in the Lester Rail Trail Park, northwest of Medina. Site grading and clearing is underway for a 2,200 ft 7-1/2 in. gauge mainline loop and a 1,200 sq. ft station style clubhouse / meeting building.
