Howard Zane Scale Structures
Howard Zane, Custom Structures, HO Scale, O Scale, Dioramas as art,
for Model Railroads, scale rail roads, other displays.
These structures are all designed and built by Howard Zane to
represent the 1880 to 1920's West Virginia style of architecture.
From home to railway and coal company. The scale is 1/87 (HO)
or 1/48 (O scale). Each is constructed from sheet styrene and is totally unique.
Original sketches are included, each is signed and dated.

James Harr Modelmaker .com
Welcome to jamesharrmodelmaker.com; the home of fine architectural and model railroad miniatures by James Harr. James has been a professional model maker since he graduated from Pratt Institute, in Brooklyn, NY, in 1986 with a Bachelors degree in Industrial Design. After graduation he moved to San Francisco, where he worked with most of the architectural model making firms in the city. In 1990 he moved back to New Jersey where he became staff model maker and shop manager for Henry Dreyfuss Associates in New York, building a diverse range of product design models for many clients. Since 1995 James has run his own company, Benchmark Productions, continuing to broaden and build his career in both the architectural and product design fields, working with a wide array of clientele. James has also built a number of master models for several producers of scale freight car kits.

Welcome and thanks for visiting my site. For the past fifteen years I’ve been owner of The Shelf Layouts Company, a full time custom model railroad building and design company. My prior life was that of a civil engineer in the heavy construction industry where my focus was on scheduling, production, and logistics.

MD Custom Models
Custom builder for the past 9 years, been in model railroading since the mid 60's.
I specialize in custom designs, either yours or ours, but also can build to exact prototype when needed. Our wood structures are usually built with board by board constuction and can be finished to any level of detail desired up to and including full interiors for whatever period you desire.
