All the museum quality structures are built exactly as any full size buildings. The foundation stone is laid-up one at a time and mortared in. The walls are constructed of precision milled scale basswood lumber. The windows and doors are by Grandt Line. Roofing materials are furnished by Builders-in- Scale. The many castings used are supplied by Berkshire Valley, Model Tech Studios, Clover House, Rusty Rail and Hamm River Model Products.

We have been in business as professional railway modellers, for nearly 25 years. We have accepted commissions for scale model railways and gained experience in all types of model railways from the toy train set to the public exhibition model railway and as professional railway modellers we work in a wide variety of scales and gauges. Proprietor Andy McMillan trained at Pendon and worked for the National Model Museum as well as winning over the years a variety of awards, trophies and medals for his model locomotives and artistic skills. These include, in his pre-professional railway modelling days, a commended and a bronze medal for trains at International Model Reilway Exhibitions at the Alexandra Palace; the model railway equivalent of an Olympic medal and another appearance in a final! Mind you, that was 20 odd years ago...

Dave Frary's custom-built model railroad's, how-to-do-it scenery books, and model railroad video tapes.
Dave has been an active professional model builder, model railroad builder, photographer, and instructor for more than 40 years. His photos, plans and stories have appeared in Model Railroader, Railroad Model Craftsman, Classic Toy Trains, Great Model Railroads, The Short Line & Narrow Gauge Gazette, FineScale Modeler, Model Railroading, Toy Update, 009 News, and many other publications.
His photos have been used by model manufacturers, by N.A.S.A. and in hundreds of non-railroad brochures, annual reports, record album covers, and advertisements.
His model railroads have toured the USA with the Greenberg Train Shows, are located in Tokyo Disneyland, several museums, retail stores, and used in TV and motion picture productions. He's a member of I.A.T.S.E. Local 481 stage and motion picture technicians union and for fun he's a championship BBQ cook and a certified Kansas City BBQ judge.

Dunham Studios - Custom Builders
DUNHAM STUDIOS is a most interesting partnership reflecting the diverse talents of the partners, Clarke and Barbara Dunham. The Dunhams, long active in art and theater, have been involved with some form of design or display since their marriage as teenagers in Philadelphia over forty-four years ago. But in 1987 at the height of his Broadway design career, when his creation of Citibank Station became an instant New York “Holiday Tradition”, model railroading, which had been Clarke’s occasional hobby, took over their lives. In the last twenty five years their studio under Clarke’s design influence has produced beautiful, elaborate layouts for Valley Junction Train Museum (Des Moines, Iowa), Western Heritage Museum (Omaha, Nebraska), America’s Railroads on Parade (Williamsburg, Va.), the Railroaders’ Memorial Museum in Altoona, Pa., the Cincinnati Museum Center and a select group of private and corporate clients from Maine to California (and as far away as Kazakhstan).

In a modern way we construct the railway track plan with the aid of the computer. Only with his relief the railway track geometry is kept exactly. The different tiers and shadow railway stations, also in the not visible fields, are printed in each case onto a separate plan. You receive 1:10-Plaene true to scale with a parts list of all needed parts. A in colour geplotterter 1:1-Plan serves than that one will transmit 'patterns' on the location lines. The stable underbase becomes from delay-free, repeatedly glued together blockboards, the ribs and location lines from repeatedly glued together produced plywood, that with one CNC are tailored controlled saw on the 1/10mm exactly. Thus a Spantengeruest arises in open frame design of highest accuracy.
The topography (Mountains, rocks and slopes etc.) is built up in classical design on aluminium wire gauze and modelled with plaster. So that the general impression of the great model hardly distinguishes find out, all railway tracks by means of Airbrush a natural rust patina.
