We have been in business as professional railway modellers, for nearly 25 years. We have accepted commissions for scale model railways and gained experience in all types of model railways from the toy train set to the public exhibition model railway and as professional railway modellers we work in a wide variety of scales and gauges. Proprietor Andy McMillan trained at Pendon and worked for the National Model Museum as well as winning over the years a variety of awards, trophies and medals for his model locomotives and artistic skills. These include, in his pre-professional railway modelling days, a commended and a bronze medal for trains at International Model Reilway Exhibitions at the Alexandra Palace; the model railway equivalent of an Olympic medal and another appearance in a final! Mind you, that was 20 odd years ago...

Downtown Deco produces a line of finely detailed structure kits. The kits include beautifully detailed Hydrocal castings, plastic Grandt Line doors and windows, full color signs and complete, easy to understand painting & aging instructions. Some kits also include laser cut stencils for painting the large signs on the sides of the structures. These kits are unique in the fact that the master patterns are all hand carved, brick by brick and stone by stone. This gives the buildings a much more realistic look than mass produced plastic or resin kits because it allows me to add much more detail and character to the castings.
A former professional Hollywood Scenic Artist, I founded the company in 1993 after relocating from Los Angeles California.

CCM, Inc, (dba Classic Construction Models) is a family-owned business located in Beaverton, Oregon. Since creating our first model, CCM has teamed with Bucyrus-Erie, Link-Belt, Lampson, American and Marion to create more than 25 crane and cable shovel models at 1:24, 1:48 and 1:87 scale.
In 1995, CCM was offered the opportunity to produce licensed Caterpillar scale models. Since signing the agreement, CCM has produced more than 40 Cat models in brass and die-cast at 1:87, 1:48 and 1:24 scale.
Every model CCM produces is offered in a pre-announced limited edition. In the years since our first model was introduced, the variety of construction models available has increased exponentially and production quantities have soared with their introduction to and sale through mass market channels. While we fully support being able to buy a small version of your favorite machine at a big box retailer, we remain committed to producing products that are coveted by collectors due to their quality and limited availability and therefore, truly collectible.
