Washington - Puget Sound Model Railroad Engineers
Tacoma, WA - PSMRE is a non-profit club whose charter is to build, maintain and operate a world-class HO (1:87) model, featuring highlights of the Tacoma area during the 1950's. This is a 1700 sq. ft. model railroad exhibit and club layout, and mainline construction is complete.
The PSMRE model railroad is an HO-scale (1:87) model representing Tacoma, WA railroading in the 1950's. The 25' by 95' exhibit area provides a compressed view of local landmarks from Tacoma's Asarco Tunnel to Stampede Pass, and includes trackage and equipment from the Great Northern, Northern Pacific, Union Pacific and Milwaukee Road railroads. In addition to being a public display, the model is used as an operating forum for PSMRE members.

Washington - Whatcom Skagit Model Railroad Club
Bellingham, WA - The Whatcom Skagit Model Railroad Club (WSMRC, formerly the Bellingham Society of Model Engineers or BSME) creates, develops, operates, and maintains a public model railroad display evocative of the historical relationship of railroads in the development of the Pacific Northwest. The club currently operates an HO scale layout and an N scale layout. Some of our members have developed an outdoor 7.5" layout occasionally offering rides to the public.
The display is open to the public during periodically held open houses and meets weekly Thursday evenings starting at 7 pm. The organization also attends and exhibits displays at other public events and conducts seminars about railroads and railroad history. We are a non profit organization and any contributions are tax deductible.
The WSMRC maintains a library of materials (books, periodicals, and video tapes) about regional railroads and model railroading for use by members and the general public. Members conduct research into the history of railroads in the Pacific Northwest.
