Alberta - Calgary Free-mo
Calgary, AB - Calgary Free-mo is a group of HO-scale railway modelers, building modules following the international Free-mo modular standard. Everyone owns their own modules, building whatever industry, scenery and era interests them. We then connect them together to form a large layout - it’s never the same layout twice!
We set up a layout four to six times a year, including public shows such as Supertrain, Railway Days and GETS, as well as private/semi-private set-ups, including our open invite Albert Free-mo set-up, held every August in railway-historic Big Vally, Alberta.

British Columbia - Coldslap Free-mo
Chilliwack, BC - Coldslap Free-mo began as a division of the Chilliwack Model Railway Club in the fall of 2004. One of the members had been exposed to a relatively new concept called Free-mo. Our primary goals are to construct a high quality layout on which to operate realistic trains, and to host or participate in as many Free-mo events as time and money will allow.
Over the past ten years, we have constructed a 33 foot long, 10 track yard named Coldslap Yard, as a group project. James, a steam aficionado, was industrious enough to construct a roundhouse addition to the side of the yard. Individual members have also been constructing modules of their own to expand the layout.

Canada - Golden City Railway Modellers
Trail, BC - Located at Waneta Plaza Mall, 8100 Highway 3B, Trail B.C., Canada
Our layout is open for public viewing every Wednesday and Saturday.
To complete the construction and publicly display our modular model railroad of Rossland, which depicts the numerous mines, railways and buildings over a time period from the late 1890's to the mid 1950's. This is the era of steam locomotive power and the transition period to diesel locomotive power. Each module focuses on a different time and part of Rossland, so the viewer gets a good sense of the history of the railways, mines and City of Rossland. Every effort is being made to ensure the historical details of each scene is as accurate as possible.

Ontario - Credit Valley Free-Mo Group
Credit Valley, ON - The Credit Valley Free-Mo Group is an HO scale model railroad group that was established in 2007 by people with an interest in the Free-Mo method of module building and operations.
The purpose in creating the Credit Valley Free-Mo Group was to have fun and enjoy the company of others who are looking for the same, in playing with; (oops!) we mean, operating our trains. We hold twice-monthly meetings to discuss progress on group activities, module construction, and other general topics and attendance is voluntary. Members also share their talents and expertise on different aspects of the hobby.

Ontario - Erin Mills Model Railroad Association
Mississauga, ON - The Erin Mills Model Railroad Association was formed in May 1980 as a club to encourage and promote model railroading. At present, the club has about seventy members ranging from early teens to retirees.
While our association does not have a permanent layout, we have two active groups based on portable modular layouts, one for HO scale and one for N scale. These layouts are assembled at train shows in order to form large temporary layouts on which our members operate their trains.
Just as important, you will be able to meet with fellow railroad modelers, many of whom have home layouts, and may be working on their own individual projects ranging from small apartment layouts to large room filling railroad empires.
